Graphic Novels have come a long way since your father’s time. So many cool authors and artists have made the medium respectable and exciting for guys of all ages. You’ve probably heard of Neil Gaiman’s ‘Sandman’ series, and the venerable illustrators that create his fantastical worlds.
Sure, you may still be thinking of comics as being (mass) produced by Marvel and DC – they certainly know how to do super hero torment, just think back to Superman’s and Batman’s latest revelations (did you know that Robin tried to kill the big bat at one point? I say ‘collecting’ because one think I notice and like is that the creatives behind the comic books don’t produce too many editions – it’s easy to start at number 1 and keep up with them! (Their back catalogues are still mostly available too.)
When I was a teen, I found that comics came out too frequently, I didn’t have the time or money to keep up with them! But with the comics at Class Comics I can pick n choose and keep up nicely.
